This bill proposes to require an Act 250 permit prior to the construction of a new structure, certain expansions of existing structures, and certain clearing of vegetation within the shorelands of lakes. For projects requiring an Act 250 permit solely for the construction or clearing within a lake shoreland addressed by this bill, only the Act 250 criteria for water pollution, soil erosion, scenic beauty, aesthetics, and natural areas would need to be met by a permit applicant.

January 7, 2014: Read First Time and Referred to the Committee on Natural Resources and Energy.
