This bill would require motorboats to have an operating noise of no more than 75 decibels when measured to a shoreline sound level and no more than 90 decibels when measured at a stationary sound level.   Motorboats exceeding this decibel level will not be permitted to be sold or operated on any public waters in Vermont except for boats competing in a boat race or in trial runs for the 48 hours before a boat race.
