FOVLAP Launches Videos Series on Vermont’s Most Precious Resource

The Federation of Vermont Lakes and Ponds is proud to launch a series of educational videos on Vermont’s most precious resource. These videos inform the general public in an engaging and visually appealing way about what they can do to help preserve Vermont’s lakes and show how they can get involved in their care.

Vermont has some of the most beautiful and pristine lakes in the country, but they are facing increasing challenges, including the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species and Cyanobacteria. The videos show how we can help preserve and protect them.

This video series was made possible with a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Lake Champlain Basin Program and the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission.

Deborah Miuccio, Outreach Coordinator, helped produce these videos from concept to final delivery, and says, “It was an honor for me to collaborate with and oversee the filming of interviews of a fantastic group of speakers with diverse knowledge and expertise.”

We will be adding videos and sharing throughout the spring and summer on multiple platforms from the Federation of Vermont Lakes and Ponds channels, as well as across the state in public service announcements, to schools, Vermont state agencies, conservation organizations and more.

We are counting on our members, partners and individuals who care about lake protection to share these videos so we can all raise awareness on how to protect Vermont’s most precious resource.
