The Federation of Vermont Lakes and Ponds 2025 Annual Meeting:
Celebrating Lake Associations!
Working Together to Preserve Vermont’s Lakes

On September 4th, 2025, the Federation of Vermont Lakes and Ponds held our Annual Meeting and it was a great success!

The meeting began with the business portion of the meeting, including: FOVLAP updates, and director and officer elections. After the business portion of the meeting concluded, a number of interesting presentations and discussions followed, including:
  • Meet the new DEC Commissioner – Misty Sinsigalli
  • A Lakes and Pond Program update – Jenny Austin, Lakes and Ponds Manager
  • Lake reports from lake associations
  • Celebrating Lake Associations – Achievements and Future Goals: Presentations from four lake associations: Lake St. Catherine Association, Lake Eden Association, Curtis Pond Association, Lake Fairlee Association
  • 45 Years of Lay Monitoring – History, Recognition, and a Look Ahead: Mark Mitchell, Vermont Lay Monitoring Program Lead
  • Working Together to Preserve Vermont’s Lakes – Pat Suozzi, FOVLAP President
