At the Seymour Lake Association annual meeting, Beth Torpey received recognition for her efforts towards lake preservation, With a packed house, President Rhonda Shippee read a congratulatory letter from Governor Phil Scott addressed to Beth Torpey, thanking her for her many years of work and scientific knowledge, all helping to keep Lake Seymour free of invasives! Rhonda also presented Beth with a beautiful painting of Seymour, from the SLA membership.
Beth is also a member of the FOVLAP board and is continuing to share her knowledge and expertise about aquatic invasives. Congratulations Beth from all of us at FOVLAP!
In response, Beth said, “I should point out that in any award such as this, there’s so much support from a community of dedicated volunteers. So while I received the accolades, it really belongs to everyone who has been supportive and involved and that’s a long list!”
