We have several open positions on the FOVLAP Board. If you are dedicated like we are to protecting and preserving Vermont’s water resources for this and future generations, join us!
This will be an exciting year for us. We’ll soon be rebranding with a new name, logo and mission statement, increasing our outreach efforts, and taking on new initiatives with the VT DEC and collaborations to champion efforts to protect Vermont’s lakes. If you or someone you know would like to be a part of this, please get in touch.
From its inception in 1972 as an organization of lake associations in northern Vermont to its evolution into a statewide organization in 2001, the Federation remains dedicated to fostering water quality standards and preserving Vermont lakes, ponds, watersheds, and aquatic ecosystems. The Federation is a robust network of lake associations, individual members, and business members. It is overseen by a Board of Directors elected by the membership. The Board and nearly all of our association and individual members are volunteers who give thousands of hours each year to the work of protecting and enhancing the health of Vermont’s public waters.
