On Tuesday, January 16th, FOVLAP had the opportunity to interact with legislators in the Card Room of the State House.

Members of FOVLAP’s Legislative Committee, Kent Henderson, Jay White, and Virginia Renfrew set up a table and spoke with legislators about lake issues, and specific bills that are currently being considered that impact Vermont’s lakes and ponds. You can read about these bills in the Legislative Committee’s January Update.

The Legislative Committee reported that it was a great day at the State House speaking with numerous legislators about FOVLAP, our mission, and the important bills that are being considered in this session.

FOVLAP would like to thank Kellie Merrill from Vermont Lakes and Ponds for allowing us to use their room reservation for the day, and Representative Katherine Sims from the Orleans-4 district for introducing us on the House Floor (click play and scrub to the 5:05 mark):
