Watersheds United Vermont (WUV) is administering a round of funding under the 2022 Dam Removal Design and Implementation Block Grant program, which will serve to support dam removal projects that reduce sediment and nutrient pollution, including phosphorus, from runoff and soil erosion that discharge into the State’s rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, and wetlands. Funding is provided by the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation’s (VT DEC) Clean Water Initiative Program (CWIP). WUV seeks proposals for the preliminary design, final design, and implementation of dam removal projects. No match is required under this program.

Applications are due September 8. More information can be found on Watershed United Vermont’s website. https://watershedsunitedvt.org/resources/block-grants
