FOVLAP Annual Meeting: New Tools for Lake Health

On September 10th, 2026, 9:30am – 2:45pm the Federation of Vermont Lakes and Ponds will hold our Annual Meeting, in person at the Vermont Historical Society in Barre, VT and via Zoom. This meeting is sponsored by the Vermont DEC, Watershed Management Division, Lakes and Ponds Program.

Road Salt-focused Education Trip on Lake Champlain

Lake Champlain Sea Grant is hosting a unique trip aboard the R/V Marcelle Melosira for municipal staff and board members. The trip is designed to bring together municipal road foremen and crews with selectboard and conservation commission members and other community leaders for an exchange of knowledge related to sustainable winter road salting practices.We will also talk about water quality and how road salt can impact life in streams and lakes.
